Safe Kids Curriculum for grades 6-9, covers the 12 main topics considered as a “gate-way” to addiction and high-risk behaviors. Designed for the busy teacher, each topic is correlated to National Health Education Standards, and provides information for the teacher, relevant statistics, vocabulary, a pre/post test, followed by five to six learning experiences. In addition, there are resources for setting up your classroom as a safe learning environment, and strategies for including your families and community in the process. One of the bonus features is the Service Learning Program Guide (correlated to the National Youth Leadership Council).
